Mandocello Strings

The mandocello is the cello of the mandolin family and is a bit more 'guitarist-friendly' as it has a similar scale length of around 25 inches. The Gibson mandocellos of yesteryear had a 24.75 inch scale length and several brands of mandocello make a guitar shaped version for an even more familiar feel. It is tuned C-C, G-G, D-D, A-A, like a cello.
