D’Addario’s original treated strings range for longevity was EXP which has now been superseded by XT. This range of electric, acoustic and classical guitar, bass, banjo, and mandolin strings features a thin, hydrophobic coating protecting every string in the set from corrosion. We stock single strings from this range too!

The latest addition to D’Addario’s X-Series acoustic and electric guitar strings range is the XS. This proprietary coating and treatment on all strings in the set makes them arguably the most advanced guitar strings on the planet. Utilising the strength of NY Steel and reformulated nickel-steel wrap wire (or phosphor bronze for acoustic) which is completely coated means these strings can last longer, play harder, and sound better for longer than any other guitar strings.
