Flat Wound Bass Strings

Providing the darkest and smoothest tone, flatwound strings are made using a flat wrap wire which is usually further ground or polished once wound to produce a completely flat string. The added bonus is the elimination of finger ‘squeak’ when moving up and down the strings, if that bugs you.
