FLATS are the leading range of flat wound bass strings from Ernie Ball. These smooth ribbon wound strings have a sleek, slinky feel with a naturally rich sound.

As with all Ernie Ball strings they have a tin-plated steel hex core for great intonation and solid fundamental tone. The outer flattened-tape wrap wire is stainless steel which, once wound, is polished to beautifully smooth finish.

The sound of Flats is literally smooth. It’s deep and powerful with a softer upper response and less of the round wound brilliance resulting in solid fundamental tones.
